Hi, I had a stent put in this time last year and was put on Clopidogrel. I have now stopped taking it, one doctor said 6 months and the other 12 months. The other day I was walking fast and I was worried that the angina was coming back, my symptom was always at the back of my throat and then breathlessness. Why are you walking fast? Walk at a pace that is comfortable for you
I have been on clopidogrel twice for both my heart attacks but I'm only on it for 12 months at a time, i also have small vessels they couldn't put scents in.
I have been on Clopidogrel 9 years now as I can’t tolerate aspirin
I was put on Clopidogrel and Xarelto. At first I was told I would be on Clopidogrel for a year, then was told 6 months, only because I am also on Xarelto. I am waiting for Cardioversion, and was told I could go off all medication after that except Xarelto because I have stents.
My cardiologist gave me a choice after a year to discontinue or continue taking plavix. I chose to continue. This is after the 3rd placement in a different artery. I just feel safer taking
