Does Your Ejection Fraction Determine Your Energy Level?
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

Before my last echo I felt I had improved, only to be told My EF barely improved. That was 5 months ago, my next echo is next week, my energy level feels lower . I was told by my cardiologist if it isn’t up enough this time we should consider an ICD due to risk.needless to say This scares me somewhat.

From my experience, yes the lower the EF the worse I felt. Use this time to heal, and look forward to an increase in EF if possible. Intimidation and anxiety exist due to the unknown. Doctors are the key to easing the stress of dealing with your diagnosis through communication. I hope that this lifts your spirits. -Endure 19 years ♥️

It did improve, I’m at a low 50 now. Have been taken off all meds but didn’t regain energy level until I was put on antidepressants. Didn’t have to get icd
