I don't do everything for Christmas in one day but spread it out.I write a list of what needs to be done work on it and check off what I have done and continue little by little until I get finished.
I do only what I am capable of doing. My body lets me know what my limits are and so I listen. This accompanied by βmeβ quiet time enable meme to cope with the stresses of the holidays. Also, I watch carefully what I eat as I am capable of binging out of my control. When I do this, I feel better physically as well as emotionally.
I honestly take it a minute at a time. I've learned. I actually look back now and remember the Thanksgiving I was cooking and had what now I believe was a little heart attack that had been misdiagnosed as flare ups with my acid reflux. I layed down for like 20 min to get past the pain. Not realizing when I layed down my bp dropped and it got better. I wish I would have know the information I do today. I would have done differently. "Live and learn" . As I sit and struggle with the idea of the holidays and trying to make sure I get to see my children, granddaughter, nieces, sister etc. And we all be together. I've decided to "roll with it" this year! Taking up a longtime standing invitation with my sister's in law's this year!! I'm not gonna STRESS about this year π yeah right ...lol!!
But its about making memories and doing different things this year !!! Don't stress!! Don't overdue! Don't be alone for the holidays!!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving ππ
I find taking a nap when I am more active refreshes me. I increase my water intake, and I have recently discovered a dose of magnesium daily is a cure all.
Pace yourself, allow enough time to rest as well as get things done. Please do not be afraid to ask for help from those coming over ( can you bring a dish to share). Enjoy the family.
