Read those labels, they sneak that stuff in food that you would not even imagine. I use Mrs. Dash all the time for cooking.
I'm new to this sight and have just been reading n learning. Know what one thing that is that's so forgotten is what about a young person who's disease is genetic and otherwise was and still am accept obviously less physical but still an angel clean eater. Fitness buff. Non smoker ..drinker etc and yet still I'll. I'm noticing even most cardiac patients are older and usually age has started to poop out thier ticker. It's probably an issue for many but complete loss of identity is the absolute worst.
Me too. And I think I am on the right road, no sugar, little pastry, then I give myself a treat. Just one I say. Sometimes one is too much and I am back where I started.
I need not have any sweets around and get more willpower and say no more. It is an addiction. Take a look at Biblical secrets. It is helping me a lot. Lots of good info. Stay strong. May many blessings come your way.
Wow! Well then I'm lucky. I drink beer here and there, have tried weed. Didn't like it, wasn't something I got into and I eat whatever I want. I'm not going to let a simple heart defect take away what's good about being alive. What's the point if you can't enjoy It? One brother passed away I the surgery room at the age of 7 and the other passed from colon cancer at the age of 34. I was born with heart defects and I'm still in excellent shape. I have out lived many in my time and I plan on keeping that trend going. I'm too into life to stop loving it. Especially since I have a little boy now. I've died 4 times in my life and if that doesn't stop me? Nothing will, death will have to fight me tooth and nail before it can take me. It's already lost 4 rounds with me. I don't box for nothing. Basically, try a beer once in a while. Alcohol can't hurt you. Once a week it cleans out your system and helps you pee. But that's up to you, I'm not a medical professional. Just a guy who has done it all in life. I've even walked 40 miles in pitch black darkness in a 3rd world country and I'm still here!
Mel not sure what your asking, although everyone Is different in regards to eating and nutrition I was 6-2 300 lbs athletic build when I had my cardiac event and it was not good, I'm l now 260 lbs, my lowest weight was 225 after surgery. I found it best for me to eat 4-5 very small healthy meals per day, no salt, 3 ounces of chicken breast, per day only quality olive oil, nothing processed! Its a pain to cook everything, but it will pay off. Now I able to resume my bike races, I do half marathons, and 5k , I limit all meat, consume plant and animal protein, no fast food, hope this helps!
